Since 1924, Camp Lavigne’s beautiful woodlands, meadows and streams have offered the Scouts a traditional place for camping.  Learning happens in various ways and nature’s classroom is one of the most valuable advantages Camp Lavigne offers.  Learning occurs best when a small group of youth (or patrol) works together to help each other.  In the troop setting, patrols live, work and learn as a unit.  While they are at Scout camp, the adult leaders, Scoutmasters and camp staff are there to assist the Scouts with anything they may need.  Camp Lavigne’s program is designed to satisfy the needs of each individual Scout by having them participate in these group learning experiences just as they do with their “unit” at home.

The goal at camp is to help every youth be successful and to provide them with a positive experience that helps them grow. This goal is not just a goal of our camp, but the goal of Scouting itself. We want to thank you for choosing Camp Lavigne as your choice for summer camp. You won’t be disappointed!

Cub Scout Summer Camps

Cub Scouts participate in all program areas, in compliance with safety and quality standards as set by the National Boy Scouts of America. With age and cub safety in mind, accommodations are made to provide the Scouts with the “whole camp experience.”

The primary focus on Cub Camp is FUN! The boys will rotate through the thematic program areas, enjoying each experience in hopes they return to camp again as Webelos and Boy Scouts. The cubs will fully participate in the program which also include fishing, archery, sling-shot, nature, crafts as well as sports and games.

Cub Scout Resident Camp – July 19 - 22

Theme: Star Wars - Jedi Training

Cub Resident Camp is a four day, three night program that familiarizes cubbies with overnight camping as well as program areas available to them at Camp Lavigne.

Campers are housed in two-man canvas tents on wooden platforms or a three-sided building with a roof (Adirondack), with a cot furnished for each camper and leader.  Adirondack shelters have no mattresses provided and all meals are provided by the kitchen staff and are served in the camp Dining Hall.  Latrines, as well as flush toilets and hot shower facilities, are available for campers and leaders.

Scouts BSA Camp Week 1 – July 12 - 18

Both weeks of Scouts BSA Summer Camp
will be open to both
BOY Troops and GIRL Troops

PURPOSE AND PHILOSOPHY:  Camp Lavigne provides an opportunity for troops to camp under their own leadership. Units run their own program within the guidelines of  the Boy Scouts of America. The council provides the necessary physical facilities, and a camp staff who are available to help your unit.

Camp is the laboratory of Scouting. The camp staff, unit leaders, and Scouts work together to experience the best Scouting has to offer; developing better units, qualified leaders and skillful, self-reliant youth. Here a boy or girl learns how to live in a community by working within the patrol and troop methods.
