Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is a hands-on program that gives adult leaders the practical skills to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. The skills taught will introduce adult Boy Scout leaders with instruction and practice for teaching the outdoor skills associated with Tenderfoot through First Class ranks. We hold this course outdoors to help reinforce the “outdoor” experience that you will bring back to your boys and troop. This training is recommended for all registered Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, WEBELOS Leaders, Troop Committee members and other new scout leaders. This is a required training for Scoutmasters & Asst. Scoutmasters to be registered in their position

Cost: $ 20.00 and is due at time of registration

(Registration Deadline - August 30th.)

(The fee covers registration, handouts, beverages, snacks and Saturday morning breakfast.)

You must attend the pre-course meeting on September 3rd and the Friday/Saturday weekend trainings to complete this course.  Additional information on the weekend session will be provided at the Tuesday meeting. Since this is a practical application of outdoor skills, the weekend portion of the course will be held rain or shine.
