Online Internet Unit Rechartering

A representative of each unit can now complete the paperwork for renewing a charter online. From Internet Rechartering, you can indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for an individual or the chartered organization.

How to use Internet Rechartering

The October roundtables will feature training on Internet Rechartering. Each unit must select an adult to be its renewal processor; this adult must attend the training. Additionally, anyone who wants to learn more about how Internet Rechartering works can take the interactive Internet Rechartering tutorial and view the help.

To renew a charter online:

  1. Sixty days before your unit's expiration date, select a person to be your unit's renewal processor.
  2. The renewal processor attends the October roundtables to receive training and the unit access code.
  3. Sixty to 45 days before the unit's expiration date, the renewal processor clicks Recharter Now and begins the process.
  4. When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter renewal application.
  5. The unit leader and the chartered organization representative sign the charter renewal application. Bring the application along with the material you received in your recharter packet (such as the Quality Unit application), and all appropriate fees to your district's charter turn-in meeting.

New for 2018!

When you log in for the first time, if you have done the recharter process before, you will notice that there is a new interface for completing the recharter process.  For those familiar with the process, it is very much the same, with a couple of changes highlighted below.

If this is your first time using the system, we hope that you will find it user friendly and that they system enhancements will aid you in the smooth completion of this year’s charter.

New Features:

  • New branded look and improved navigation for Online Recharter System
  • Ability to Promote Members within Chartered Organization Family or with unit access code
  • Youth Protection Training will be required for each volunteer on the recharter
  • Electronic Signature Approval Option
  • Electronic Payment Option
  • Elimination of “Parent Coordinator” position (it has been replaced with the “New Member Coordinator” (NM) position.

Features Staying the Same:
