Announcing the Citizenship Merit Badge Workshop

After a hiatus the Citizenship Merit Badge Workshop has returned! This program is completely separate from Merit Badge College and has now been expanded and re-structured from past years. Attendance is no guarantee of receiving credit for the merit badge(s) taken. Citizenship Merit Badges require active preparation, completion of pre-work, participation during sessions, and a passing grade of written exam for each badge. A mandatory pre-meeting will be held for all participating scouts who are taking one, two, or all three of the Citizenship Merit Badges. This pre-meeting will be held in mid-January and details will be available at the December Roundtable. Each badge is now a multi-week commitment for boy scouts who have at least attained Tenderfoot Rank. The entire workshop will begin in February and run into March. The cost is $5.00 per merit badge and will be paid at the council office in full along with accompanying blue card(s) and a signed registration form by the ScoutMaster. Scouts are admitted on a first registered and paid, first served basis. Registration fees are non-refundable. Each merit badge session will be limited to 35 total participants and absolutely NO walk-ins will be accepted. A "Full Class-A”uniform is required at all sessions including the mandatory pre-meeting. Registration Deadline is Friday, January 18, 2013.Questions can be referred to project leader Rick Talanca, T6-SM at talanca@hotmail.com or assistant project leader Patrick Hill, T9-ASM at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
