Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

WHEN:  Saturday, May 17, 2014

  (During Cub Skill Weekend)

TIME:   9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

WHERE:   Nature Lodge, Camp Lavigne

COST:  $10.00 per registrant (Deadline: May 9, 2014)

  NOTE: preregistration required before deadline, NO walk-ins

This training is targeted toward the new Cub Scout Leader who has minimal camping experience but wants to plan and carry out an entry-level outdoor experience for their pack. Those with experience are encouraged to attend to share their experiences with other leaders. THIS TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR LEADERS TO CONDUCT OVERNIGHT CUB ACTIVITIES!

Spring Camporee

The Spring Camporee for 2014 will be held at the Bloomsburg Airport May 2-4, 2014. We will be camping at the airport. Saturday will be a split day with half of the time spent earning the Aviation Merit Badge and the other half doing a special service project– helping to build Kidsburg at the town park. THIS YEAR WE WILL NOT BE GIVING AIRPLANE RIDES. We will be able to complete the merit badge without a ride. We must abide by rules set up by Kidsburg in that only people over 14 years of age can be on the actual building site. Scouts younger than that can perform support duties, but at a different location (maybe right next to the construction site – I do not know at the present).

For this type of planning, I will need to know if your unit will be attending the camporee and, if so, how many and what ages for the scouts. Can you determine if you are going to attend and who will be attending with their ages? Please have someone e-mail that information to, so that we can get a plan together. Thanks.

RESERVED SEATING AVAILABLE:  Reserve a table for members of your pack or troop.  Invite your key leaders. Tables are a maximum of eight persons.  To reserve a table or partial table, you must list all names on the reservation form when paid reservation is submitted.  Those not expressing seating preference will be seated at random.
